Description
On this ice-cold morning the temperatures were in the single digits. The frozen ocean waves are often referred to as 'slur' by the old timers, here on the Cape. This is a fascinating and rare occurrence where the low temperatures are so cold long enough for the freezing to take place. Being a Cape Cod native, I'd never seen anything like this before. Seagulls are real survivors as they hover over these icy waters in search of a meal~
Watching these waves is a wonderful experience, as they resemble a large, white rolling carpet.
I thought my hands would never thaw out~

Allison, this was really something to see. It took a very cold winter to freeze up the bay :))
